Sketching Chapman
An Illustrated Study of Campus Architecture

In collaboration with Chapman’s library department, this project is an exhibition of ten illustrated renderings of some of Chapman’s iconic buildings. Through loose, hand-drawn sketches, I focus on spontaneity, texture, and storytelling, highlighting the blend of historic and modern architecture across Chapman’s Orange and Rinker campuses. Each piece is based on iPhone photographs and firsthand observation, following a traditionally inspired process from sketch to monoline ink, rendered digitally in a watercolor- and marker-like style. As I prepare to graduate, this collection reflects my personal experience moving through these familiar and meaningful campus spaces.
